Hello,
Thanks for trying my game prototype out. This game is currently a prototype. I have lots of ideas down and I am slowly implementing them. I am a very new developer and I am learning as I try to implement each feature. I will be uploaded better versions of the prototype as I make them. All feedback is greatly appreciated.
I have a lot of work to do to get the game from a prototype to a legit demo. I have a clear path on how to get their and hope to upload improvements regularly.
I originally uploaded this game for Pirate Software's Game Jam 16. My original upload had an issue where the pixel art was blurred due to having the setting interpolate pixels on when I exported the game. I didn't know how to fix this issue or what the issue even was. Due to the game jam having a deadline I uploaded the game when the graphics were blurred. The game jam rules didn't allow for additional uploads after the deadline. My original thoughts were oh well lets see how it does. However, after some consideration I decided to leave the Jam early in order to fix my upload.
The game jam had a theme of "You Are the Weapon"
Description:
This game is a turn based battle game similar to Pokemon. You will control a manifestation. This manifestation represents you, your emotions, and personality dictated by your actions in the game. My interpretation on the Game Jam's theme was you are the weapon but who are you really. You emotions and personality would empower the manifestation during battle. However, you will also be susceptible to your emotions weakness.
Your emotions can also be influenced by your decisions in the RPG component of the game. Similar to the Pokemon games you will control a character who explores a world. As you explore the world you will make decisions when interacting with the inhabitants of the world. These decisions will influence your emotions and personality. Which will in turn influence your manifestation when battle.
They main idea is that you and your manifestation are linked and your decisions in battle will affect your decisions in the RPG world and vice versa.
